How a product makes the 5
We don't copy bestseller lists — those tell you what already peaked. We watch five velocity signals: signs of how fast a product is climbing, not how much it has already sold. They are: Amazon Movers & Shakers and New Releases (Amazon's own biggest-climbers lists), TikTok product velocity, Google Trends "rising" searches, retailer-list consensus, and the calendar — we aim 2–3 weeks ahead of predictable spikes.
How to read the labels on every pick:Strong = several independent signals agree it's climbing. Moderate = a real signal, but only part of the picture. Thin = one source, or a forecast instead of observed sales — interesting, not proven.
One toy, three lists: the only product on Amazon's Top 100+ Toys, The Toy Insider's Hot 20, and Target's Bullseye Top Toys at the same time — in Pokémon's 30th anniversary year. If one toy sells out in December, it's this one.
Every Monday we come back and grade last week's 5s, in public. CLIMBED means it kept rising after we called it. PEAKED means it topped out — the window is closed. FIZZLED means it never took off. Wins and misses both stay on the board. That's the whole point.

Tech: Trending Gadgets Rising This Week
Gadgets with launch heat and gift-season gravity
1▲ Moderate signal
Amazon Echo Dot (2026, newest generation)
Brand-new generation, in homes three weeks before Black Friday: first Echo Dot with a built-in smart-home hub and eero Wi-Fi extender. Amazon promotes its own devices hardest all season.
Holding the #1 spot in Amazon's earbud category with 10,000+ units shipped in the past month. Flagship earbuds are the most-gifted tech item every holiday season, and this generation adds live translation and heart-rate sensing.
Portable LED Mini Projector (Magcubic HY300 class)
TikTok Shop tracked roughly 207,000 units for LED projectors, and November viral roundups name the palm-sized projector a top tech gift. The classic pattern: TikTok velocity first, Amazon spike a few weeks behind.
Projections point to screenless bands as the fastest-growing wearable angle of 2026: long battery, no screen. Labeled Thin on purpose: the signal is a growth projection, not observed sales — the first pick we'd cut.
Magnetic Cable Organizers & 3-in-1 Magnetic Chargers
November TikTok viral lists put magnetic cable organizers on top, and new Apple accessories dominated the Movers & Shakers groups in October. Cheap, demonstrable, giftable — exactly what gift guides amplify.
Honorable mentions: Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (the perennial Black Friday doorbuster — seasonal persistence, not new velocity) · Echo Studio with Home Camera (same Oct 28 launch wave) · Echo Show 16 (preorders open)

Baby & Kids: Rising Gear for New Parents
Registry staples and parent-video risers
1▲ Moderate signal
Soft Stretchy Baby Wrap Carrier
Trending on TikTok Shop this week in Sell The Trend's Baby & Parenting report. Wrap carriers sell on video, and TikTok velocity tends to show up in Amazon charts a few weeks later.
Babylist's viral-products poll: a ton of parents named the bottle washer, with the editor testing Brezza against Momcozy head-to-head. A chore-automation product crossing from gadget to registry staple is the rising window.
Electric Baby Nail Trimmer (Momcozy / Frida Baby class)
A Momcozy electric trimmer topped a TikTok Shop weekly chart, and Babylist lists the Frida Baby buffer as a For-You-Page staple. Tiny, demonstrable, anxiety-solving — the profile that keeps resurfacing in parent feeds.
Named consistently by parents across two separate Babylist polls and surveys. The hip-seat format demos beautifully and the repeat mentions say durable word-of-mouth, not a one-week spike.
For the second year in a row, large numbers of Babylist parents named this gym in their poll. A second straight year of parent-driven mentions is a re-rising signal heading into gift season.
Honorable mentions: Huggies Natural Care Sensitive Wipes (huge volume, but a lagging best-seller signal) · NCVI Baby Formula Dispenser On The Go (a whole micro-category moving) · Baby Einstein Sea Dreams Soother (TikTok cult favorite for sleep) · Stickerbox AI Sticker Maker (screen-free AI, fresh editorial pick)

Toys & Games: Hot Holiday Gift Picks
The rotating seasonal slot — holiday heat right now
1▲ Strong signal
Pokémon Pikachu Puppetronic by RealFX
The ONLY toy on all three big lists: Amazon's Top 100+ Toys, The Toy Insider's Hot 20, and Target's Bullseye Top Toys. An interactive animatronic Pikachu landing in Pokémon's 30th anniversary year. Also this week's Daily Mover.
On all three lists too. The '90s craze rebooted: parents who queued for the original are now buying for their own toddlers, so gift buyers exist at every level of the family.
Toy Insider plus Amazon lists, with TikTok reporting collectibles sales up 230% year over year in October and squishy searches up 149%. Slime and squishy is the sensory wave of 2026 and this is its flagship kit.
Entered Amazon's New Releases chart at No. 8 and sold out on entry; both of Schylling's 2026 countdown calendars are selling out across retailers. Advent calendars are a November-only purchase — flagging availability risk.
Toy Insider plus Amazon, riding TikTok's collectibles surge in Pokémon's 30th anniversary year. Genuine scarcity: expect stock-outs — check availability before you get your hopes up.
Honorable mentions: LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026 (yields its slot only because the NeeDoh sell-out is the stronger advent signal — see LEGO Watch below) · CrunchLabs The Crunchinator by Mark Rober (the STEM pick) · furReal Gabby the Grow & Roar Tiger · PAW Patrol Megasaurus Vehicle

LEGO Watch: Sets Retiring Soon & Selling Out
Retiring soon. Selling out. Heating up.
A demand watch, not investment advice — most retired sets hold value, few soar. We track collector heat, not returns.
1Set 75192▲ Strong signal
LEGO 75192 Millennium Falcon (UCS)
Retiring Dec 31, 2026 after nine years on shelves — LEGO's own Retiring Soon page confirms the flagship Star Wars UCS set is in its final retail window.
Already sold out at LEGO in the US, with resale copies trading well above retail. Availability risk flagged: if you find it in stock at a sane checkout, that's the signal.
The Modular Buildings flagship, retiring Dec 31, 2026. Modulars are the most consistent collector tier there is, and this is the current street's anchor piece.
Honorable mentions: 21351 The Nightmare Before Christmas (also sold out in the US) · 10315 Tranquil Garden (retiring Dec 31) · 21345 Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera (retiring Dec 31, limited retail)

How we pick — and what we won't do
Velocity over volume. A product climbing fast beats a product that merely sells a lot. Bestseller lists only show what already happened, so we flag them as backward-looking when we use them.
Labels are honest. Strong means multiple independent signals agree. Moderate means a real but partial signal. Thin means a projection or a single source — published anyway, labeled anyway, and first to be cut next week.
No prices, ever. Amazon prices change by the hour, so published picks never quote one. The button checks the live price for you.
The calendar is a signal. Gift seasons, launch windows, and — in LEGO Watch — official retirement dates all create deadlines. We publish ahead of them, not after.
Peaked means peaked. When a pick tops out, we mark it PEAKED on the scoreboard and stop hyping it — a closed window is information too.
LEGO Watch is a demand watch, not investment advice. Most retired sets hold value; few soar. We track collector heat and availability, never promised returns.

The list opens at launch — the first issue goes out once we're live. (Staging preview: signup isn't connected yet.)
